I bet you are all wondering where I will be for my last transfer! I am staying in Galway for my last moves! I will be finishing my mission here. I am so excited. Unfortunately, Elder Wightman is leaving and going to Dublin in an area they call Bray and he is going to be the District Leader there. So I will be getting a new companion, the one who is going to 'kill me off'! His name is Elder Crittenden and he is coming from Scotland. I don't know much about him yet, but other missionaries say that he is great.
Here is a snippet from Elder Meyer's email on April 21st 2014:
So my week....It has been a week of travel, settling in and preparing for the transfer but we did however get to see our investigators and my new companion Elder Crittenden was able to meet them and get to know them. On wednesday last week Elder Wightman and I travelled to Dublin and I was there for a couple of hours. I met Elder Crittenden there and we took a train to Limerick where we stayed the night at the zone leaders flat and then on Thursday we took a bus to Galway. But Elder Crittenden is from Hoytsville, Utah. He is nice. He is very good with people. He is very loving. I love him, he is great. I am excited to work with him for my last moves.

I dont have to pack my bags!
Here is a snippet from Elder Meyer's email sent March 4th 2014:
Yes it was moves call last night and well the verdict is that me and Elder Wightman are staying together in Galway. We are going to be the only elders in galway now as 2 elders are both leaving. This area was a 4 man flat area but not anymore as it's going to be 2 of us now. And me and Elder Wightman have the whole of Galway now to ourselves... well we have the senior couple the Weber's which we can use them and their car. But our car is being taken off us too so we will be walking everywhere and taking the buses. There is going to be another senior couple coming to Ireland and they will be having our car. So yeah it was a shock that it will only be me and Elder Wightman in the area not 4 of us! But it should be a good moves, we are going to be very busy as we will be picking up the other Elders investigators so we are going to be working with a lot more people now. so it should be a very busy transfer which is then going to go by really fast as when you are busy time goes by so quickly!

MOVES CALL!
We got our moves call last night! And I am staying here in Galway. I wonder if I will be staying here for much longer. Who knows. Maybe I will stay here for the rest of my mission. I will be getting a new companion as Elder McDonald will be leaving. He is going back up to Belfast in an area called Holywood. He is going to be the District Leader up there.
My new companion will be Elder Wightman. I have met him before briefly, so it should be good. Can you believe that I only have three more moves left. I wonder what will happen throughout the rest of my mission! I can't believe how quick it has gone. I will be back before I know it. I will try to do my best and do all that I can do for the rest of my mission.

Elder Meyer is moving to... GALWAY, IRELAND.
I bet you are all wondering what happened with moves for me!
Well I am
leaving... and I will be going to Galway, Ireland. I think its on
the west side of Ireland. It is funny because my new companion is Elder
McDonald. He is in my group, and he was my MTC companion. So that will be fun to be with him again. I am excited to go to Galway too, it should be a fun.

I will be "Killing Him Off"
I know that you are all wondering what has happened with moves call this week...
Well, I am staying in this area. My companion Elder O'Bagy is staying with me for the last transfer of his mission. I will be "killing him off"... as they say in the mission field. This just means he will be finishing his life here in the mission and head back home to America at the end of this transfer. Elder O'Bagy will be the first companion I serve with for a total of 3 transfers. I am really happy about this decision that Heavenly Father has made. It is the right thing for us. Elder O'Bagy is so so so so happy also. He loves this area and loves me as a companion So all in all, we are pretty excited for the next transfer together.

ELDER MEYER IS GOING TO...
SCOTLAND!
This week is transfers (moves), and Elder Meyer has been called to serve in Scotland, in a town called Dundee, just north of the capital Edinburgh.
"I know you all are wondering what happened with moves. Well, I will be moving to Scotland! I will be serving in a place called Dundee. Ahh, I have mixed feelings right now. I am excited to be going to a new area and going to Scotland but then at the same time I am definitely going to miss it here in Lisburn. I have come to love this area and love the ward members! Yesterday at church, I got a couple of photos with some of the families and everyone wished me luck. I will be leaving this Wednesday and travelling over on the ferry to Scotland. My new companions name is Elder O'Bagy. I don't know much about him, but I have heard that he has been out the same amount of time as Elder O'Rourke, so like a year and a half. I hear he is very talkative and funny. So hopefully everything works out with us. "
"Tonight Elder White and I will be going out to dinner with the young men which will be fun, spending my last moments with them. I was telling most people yesterday that I am defiantly coming back to Lisburn, I WILL BE BACK, hahaha. I am excited to show you guys around Scotland and Ireland one day after my mission. It is going to be great, you guys are going to love it. So yeah I am moving on, going onto Scotland. I love the Scottish accent! I have heard it is hard to understand, but after a while I might get used to it. Maybe it will be like learning a new language. I'm sure it will be very different to the Northern Ireland accent. Well, I have enjoyed serving with Elder White. He is a great missionary, I love him. We have had some great times together which I will always remember. So Elder White will be training a new missionary in Lisburn. I am excited for him, he will make a great trainer."
"I am grateful for all the friends that I am making on my mission and for the fact that after my mission, I will be able to go see them and hang out with them all. I am excited for the friendships that I have made. It is wonderful. Anyways, I better go and get myself packed and enjoy the last days in Lisburn."

Going on 8 Months in Lisburn.
Transfer #5.
"I am still here in my first area and by the end on this transfer it will be like 8 months, like dad. He said he served 8 months in his first area so it will be the same haha. Elder O'Rourke has moved to the Limerick Zone once more, where he served the first 10 and 1/2 months of his mission. I am excited to serve with my new companion and see what he is like and get to know him more. But it is quite sad that Elder O'Rourke left but I will see him again, we got on really well... I liked him. Oh well we have to move on and get other companions.. it will be another friend I can keep in touch with and be friends with forever.
So my new companion is Elder White, who seems to be a really good, obedient missionary. I am excited to get to know him more and add him to my friends list haha, someone to go visit after my mission. He has been on his mission 5 months so less than me. He is from Riverton, Utah just next to Herriman where the Cranes live. He likes the outdoors like horse riding, boating, fishing. I am excited to get to know him more. I will send a photo of us to show you what he looks like."
All in all, I am happy I am still in Lisburn. This transfer will be a bit longer, it will be 8 weeks so I will be with Elder White for about 2 months. This is because in the next transfer all the new, younger missionaries come. The ones who have decided to come early since the age change for missions. So that should be good! I think we have 12 sisters coming into our mission and there are a lot going home as well I think. So I wonder what is going to happen next transfer with me. But I will have to wait and see where the lord wants me."
